How did the eve go?  I was zonked out by the time it started...Everything went well here, surgery was a breeze but it's very disturbing (screws your equilibrium) when you can't see out of one eye,,,Things aren't were you think they are especially steps and coffee mugs!

I love Bowies especially Cowboy, Searles, San Francisco and King variants and in that order..I'm not overly keen on the classic Sheffield pattern clip point or the Iron Mistress types by any maker although I give exception to Scagel who I love and wished that I had more of!

Some wonderful Scagel and Loveless reproductions come from 2G Knives of Spain http://www.2gknives.com/...Very slow site at first but well worth the wait.

Thanks for the well wishes.

They're only doing one eye (this month) so I'll still be able to read...I'm more worried of the after effects of the general and of course the pain which is supposed to be noticeable but not debilitating.

I'm going into hospital that morning for elective surgery--replacing my optic lens...I'll try to get on, depending on how I feel, afterwards as I'll be coming out of general anesthesia.
