Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The time has come to start the discussion on the 2014 iKC knife.

I would again like to shoot for August/Sept delivery date.  Something to remember while we talk about this is that a short run of only 50 or so knives means we need to tie in with a maker that is already running a knife and tweak that one to make it our own.  The reason for this is most SFO's require a minimum order of 250 or more.  Also I would like to keep it less than $125.00 delivered to you.  I have some eyes checking out whats available at a factory or two but always love to hear your ideas.  Remember, this is YOUR knife

Here is a pic of the official annual knives we have done so far

Dont rule out a TV tang stamp.  Yes they make some very high dollar totally awesome knives but they also build a good knife for a more reasonable cost

ivars,  tuna valley IS queen .

*made by Queen.

Queen bailed us out of a jam last year, so I think [Dangerous] that we should stick with them at least one more year, to show our thanks. Queen has several tang stamps or brands, they own and anyone of them would be great on our knife. I wish they still owned the Robeson line.

Jan,

I agree that a tie-in with a knife already being run, or soon to be run would be a benefit to a short run such as iKC of 50 or so knives, so it might come down to what the production schedule of the various knife makers is, for a few months out.  Maybe there is something everyone can agree on that somebody will be running a bunch of in the near future.

I'd like to see a GEC Viper (sway back) in Burnt Stag.

What about one of the Daniels family brands in a Carpenters Whittler with the Wharncliff main blade.  I have Queen and S&M models and just absolutely use and abuse them. :-)

If i dont say it , then Im holding back Queen City Sowbelly stainless blade, springs, nickel silver liner and pins

iKC shield, not a schatt but a Queen City ... handle material could be any number of great choices, Amber honey bone

stag, Mammoth Ivory LOL  , and it be a 2 blade jack sow...  just my own selfish love....

Please, no more surprises. I was looking forward to what I bought last year, but I wasn't pleased with what I received - I gave it away to a friend who would appreciate it (and he did).

I vote for a stockman, and I vote for the quality of the 1st year toenail from AG Russell.

Best wishes with this project.

This is my first year as a member, so anything would be fine. A Queen single blade Wharncliffe maybe.

"My vote is for a "Scout pattern".  +1

Jan,

I am in for whatever gets chosen.

For my "Druthers" I would like to see a captured bearing or IKBS system Gent's knife.

Or maybe a Pearl handled of any traditional pattern like a two bladed congress.

Starting to get excited already.
