grabbed a really nice AERIAL M6 , good deal , pics are before i cleaned and oiled , removed the stocks and cleaned and oiled as well , cleaned up very nice havnt snapped new pics after cleaned yet ,has a M8A1 scabbard

local pawn and then they get another in , not as nice as this one but far from bad , also has a M8 scabbard with this one should have the second AERIAL next week , these seem to be low number production maker so to find 2 in as many weeks was pretty good , same pawn i bought the Blackshirt dagger , coming from a different branch

Very cool DB!

I have not ventured into the M3s and newer stuff (M6s and M8s, etc.) yet.  But you keep posting these type of pics, and that might have to change!  :)

Since I have not considered or researched those type of bayonets/knives, can you share with me what is significant about the AERIAL stamp on the guard?  Anything newer than the MkIIs and I essentially know nothing.

I trust it has a good full blade?

AERIAL are sought out primarily out of rarity , they only produced 1960 and 1961 ,and only a fraction of total number produced all together , , im told Imperials are the best as far as quality , but the AERIALS are just hard to find and are also faked as a result , so to find 2 in as many weeks at more than fair prices is not common, they are on Ebay but the prices are inflated and then you tack on tax and shipping and suddenly it just doesnt make it practical

AERIAL was also slotted to manufacture proto types during development but i think never actually got to produced any M6 protos

here is some production data of the M6 , roughly 270K by AERIAL out of 1,622,000 total

the M6 was for the M14 rifle , i bought the Imperial bayo back when they were $30 for my old Springfield 5 line M1a

M7 was for the M16 , have two Colt M7 bayos that are rare also , bought them years ago when they were cheap still , supposedly there are fakes that do not have the cage code , i have never seen so much as a pic of one though so can not confirm , i dont seem to have pics of them on this computer , must have not been moved to the cloud ,will snap a couple tomorrow

Interesting!  Thank you!

And I am looking forward to seeing your pics of the M7s.

here is the Imperial M6 , sorry i was absent over the weekend , i was working on the gunroom
