My guess on the handle material is a type celluloid. Even some of the higher end knife makers used Celluloid when it first came out. Like today's fiber reinforced handles, there is good quality celluloid and bad quality celluloid.  Afterall, Celluloid by a different name is a phenolic resin!

I have some Razors to show off this weekend.  I brought home some very cool tang stamps

Thanks Jan for posting the swing guard I am hoping that someone will see it and tell me who the maker was! Mike

looks like an end of day pattern, made occasionally by the workers, not a handle marketed?....looks like a linoleum flooring doesn't it ....

Although a good number of us inspected this razor, no one recognized the handle material.  The one thing we all agreed upon is that it does not appear to have been re-handled.  It all appears to be original.  Any ideas?
