TC Collectible Cutlery/Terry Ray

Let’s have some fun and give away a knife!

This month is a secret word contest.  Every day between today and Feb 20, 2014 I will place a secret word in the right hand column of iKC.  Bring that word back to this page and use it in a sentence.

That’s it you are entered.

Each entry will receive a ticket and a name will be drawn on Feb 21rst to win.  Only one ticket per person per day.  No fair copying anyone else’s sentences LOL

I am amazed at all the different ways the blade profile can make a knife work better.

"The swedge was designed to help guide the blade into the channel without catching the top of the other blades. Later as quality of fit increased, it was considered a mark of fine workmanship."

Some of my knives have a swedge, some don't.

In Scotland, the colloqual term "to swedge" means "to have a fight with somebody".

I love a knife blade with a swedge.

I really like a swedge on a blade. Not only is it useful, it also can add character to a mundane blade.

If you'd like to see a knife with a swedge and beautiful lines throughout, take a look at Ken Erickson's Swell Center Hunter.

Ken incorporates a swedge into many of his designs.

I like a good swedge job on a knife.

I like the swedge on a knife if it is in the right place.

I like the SOG Swedge III.

Though I don't own one yet I am really liking the winterbottom bone handle on the Frank's Classic knives.
