The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Here's another knife that I know came from Germany. I received this one when I was about 8 years old (1966) as a Christmas present from my uncle in Germany.

Neat old Bavarian knife.
Found the following maker information on British Blades.
DES is for
David Everts Stahlwahrenfabrik Solingen.
concerning the lance and banner trademark, according to Anthony Carter "The Sword and Knife Makers of Germany 1850 - 2000" this trademark first belonged to
Daniel Küllenberg & Söhne (sons),
which was than acquired by
David Everts.
Since David Everts had no successors, it was thas sold to
Ludwig Groten
who used also the lance and banner trademark.
In the mid 1980 David Everts was than reformed to a limited company.
