Any computer nerds out there ?? Don't know if this even possible

Okay, I have a bowie blank that I have never finished for lack of time. Due to my impending retirement, I will soon have the time to design an over the top custom.  My question is, is there a program or programs that would allow me to take a photo of my blade blank. and overlay different photos on top of it to mock up a finished knife ?? I'm talking multiple materials and possibly diferent configurations. The photos aren't the problem or the materials. It's just that I have a few different ideas in my head, and don't wan't to start cutting expensive materials like Ironwood without a clear idea what it willl end up like - Any suggestions helpful !!

Never tried it before but looks promising!

Just downloaded this for $9.99. Looks very promising but all of the instructional videos are no longer available for the most part. It seems to be a lot like photoshop, however. If I can get it figured out I will post a photo of a mockup to show what is possible - Thanks for the link, Jan !! BTW, in order to use this you need to download another program called inkscape which is a free download- Keep you posted as I figure this out !!

Hey Thanks John, cant wait to see what it will do

Looking forward to seeing what you think of it!

Your knife blank looks like a difficult one, to start with. Because of the finger grove and all. Good luck with it, I hope to see the finished knife one day.

Photoshop

John,

I am anxiously awaiting to see how this turns out. That is a nice blank, kind of reminds me of the D2 blank I started for my brother-n-law.

I purchased the knife design toolkit about a week ago. I'm still learning it as I get time, but it is a great program, and you can do some cool things not listed in the video.

Here is a few I have done with it. The knife next to the pink one is the software created one

John,

I did a lil bit to your picture here using the kit. It is a lil more difficult using a jpeg for the pic in the program but is possible. This was rushed but you get the idea.

Pete,

Hey Thanks for sharing that I have not had an opportunity to sign into it yet!  It does seem it would help with deciding what to do with a blade

Now that's pretty cool!!

Jan,

I am going to make a video explaining how to do things not taught in the software videos. The knife profiles in the program are kind of limited as far as blades go. You can also use other materials and backgrounds not included in it. You can also design a knife of your own as well.
