Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I recently purchased a cheap-o butterfly knife from the flea market as a starter to the pattern. (to find out it if i want to buy a couply quality ones without a zamak handle and with a quality blade)  What can I say, old dog, new trick, I figured out how to fan the knife despite my carpal tunnel and tennis elbow and I do indeed want a couple decent ones.

Anyone know of a few companies that make decent butterflies  with a good finish at a reasonable price?   I assume it would be more expensive but also looking for Channel construction if possible.

I am aware of the Bear & Son models but is there anything else out there other than the cheap-o zamak junk?

Again I'm only looking for one or two  Quality knives, preferably under $100. but around  $35-$60 would be great.  (I know you get what you pay for!)

Hey Tobias,

The only GOOD balisongs that are under $100 that I know of are the Bradley Kimura's.  They are sandwich construction balisongs, but they are very well made.  You can get them typically for around $80-90. The limited edition or prototypes are a bit more, but the standards are a bit cheaper. You can get a bunch of them from Blade HQ here:

You should also check out some FHMs for under $100. Jay over at Pinoy Steel is a super friendly guy and has a pretty decent selection also:

I hope this helps!
