Vic i found a great YouTube video deminstrating different belt sanders used to make a knife. thought you might like to see it!

Hey Daniel Very nice set-up are you selling the plans for this or ? Please let me know I am very interested in making this for my self - I currently am using 1" x 42" delta and 3--4" x 36" Craftsman this would cover all my needs Please let me know Thanks Ken Spinuzzi
Kenneth,

Thanks for your kind words, I'm glad you like my grinder! I do not have plans, I just made it as I went along out of my head. I modeled it after Beaumonts KMG grinder, just by looking at the pictures from their website: http://www.beaumontmetalworks.com/ I was able to fabricate my own. I bought the tapered drive and tracking wheels from USA knife makers supply: http://www.usaknifemaker.com/store/power-drive-wheel-4-with-58-bore... I bought my 10 and 8 inch rubber surfaced wheels from sunray: http://www.sunray-inc.com/ they work great and are a faction of the cost, these people are great to work with and back their product. USA knife makers supply has plans on their site for a no weld grinder: http://www.usaknifemaker.com/store/plans-for-the-no-weld-grinder-sa... you can get most of your grinder parts from these folks.
