The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Sunday at noon in my fair city of Lafayette, Indiana, there's a big auction of 300+ Case XX, Case Tested XX, and a handful of older Case knives, mostly in excellent condition. Lafayette is about an hour north of Indianapolis, and the auction starts at noon. Here's a link to the listing, which has more than 300 photos of the knives: http://www.auctionzip.com/Listings/2445655.html

Hi Josh, thanks for the heads up on the auction. Is there only one pic of each lot online?

Alan,
It looks like there's just one pic of each knife in the sale (300 or so total), but you could probably ask the auctioneer to take different pics of knives you're interested in.
Josh,
are you going to go look through them? I guess I could call the auctioneer and get him to look at them real close.
Yes, but I think the preview is just before the auction on Sunday. I think if you call the auctioneer, he'd answer questions or take more pictures--after all, he wants your bids!
Hi Josh,
did you buy any lots at the Doug Davies auctiuon?
A couple--most of the knives went for around $150-175, with a few going as high as $1700. Mine were on the low end.
Which lots did you get? I bought 7 lots and want to ask you a couple of questions about the sale out of curiosity. Please email me at alanwaggoner@sbcglobal.net if you don't mind. Thanks
