I just had a feeling it was red!

Thank you Tuna !

Thank u I paid 5 bucks for it. I didn't figure it was a high collector but couldn't pass it up. I'm a nut for any old knife lol

Well your in the right place then Mark...Us too

These old Hawkbills are a great reminder of the day when all knives were considered tools.  Most every man in my family had one

I'd say for $5 you did quite well. Those red scales look more like delrin than celluloid to me? Which, from my perspective, is a good thing. Of course, I could be wrong? I'm just a little leery about old celluloid scales and usually steer clear of 'em. I'll take delrin over celluloid any day. Maybe the Tuna can tell us for sure what those scales might be? Ron, you still in the neighborhood? What say you on these red scales? Celluloid or delrin?

Thanks, Ron! That's what I suspected. I was curious because Mark--the OP--had speculated that it might be celluloid. I was pretty sure it would be Delrin, but I have a very limited experience with Boker knives. Thanks for lending your expertise on this matter.
