I have it! Somewhere, it is well worn, Maybe sharpsliver is a better name for it! I own a new one, the steel is fine and sharpens quickly. The old hones made by Schrade are a keeper for me, when I can find one at a decent price.

Eventually trading off three of them for knives I forgot about. Keeping one, I have put up somewhere after many years of use. The shield is marked GUNS&AMMO instead of OLD TIMER. I hope I didn't lose it in the move a few years back. Of the new versions, the PUMA looks good, wonder if Chinese or German made? Really makes no difference as PUMA steel quality standards are steel high!

Craig, who knows what the future may bring. I don't think it'll bring me a sharpfinger though ;-)

I certainly hope it is still with you.  Makes you wish you had not traded one of them off doesn't it

Hi Jan, It does! You know it rests along with my dad's old Case copperhead and granddads barlow. Be nice to look'em up again.

OK Its my favorite fixed blade! I am going to try to post a couple photos of a couple blanks I put together. I use an old carbon steel Schrade Sharpfinger when I am hunting, Its not pretty so no need to post a pic. of that. Not sure what I am going to do with the ones I put together.

Here are pictures of my Sharpfinger.  I didn't know it was a Sharpfinger until today.  I got it in 1997 as part of a ten year service award with TVA.  I am in the process of inventorying my knives and discovered it was called a Sharpfinger researching it on the internet.  The other knife in the pictures was part of the matching set.  I have had it in my collection and have never used it or sharpened it.
