Ever watch the Three Stooges? Someone would address the Stooges as gentlemen and without fail they would all turn and look over their shoulders to see exactly who was being addressed as gentlemen, never once realizing THEY were the gentleman.

Well I felt a little like that when I first laid eyes on this Eagle Eye Gentleman's Knife. Are they talking to me?

What drew my attention at first to the knife was the fancy stainless steel inlays on the end of the knife. Not really a formal bolster but kind of a free form flame in steel. At the rear of the knife is a lanyard hole that would take a small chain or piece of leather quite nicely for your key chain. It kind of why I dubbed this knife a key chain knife. Its about the right size for a key chain and looks quite elegant for a gentleman or gentle lady.

The front of the knife is more of a true bolster also in stainless steel, although it too is a curving slant, not straight and a lasered finish of a tree or bush or perhaps just fancy scroll work.

Both sides of the knife have this somewhat fancy treatment and made it almost irresistible to me.

The name Eagle Eye Knife Company is stickered on and I would have preferred that be lasered too but the item number is pressed in the blade. A small pull entirely appropriate for the size of the knife sits a little right of the blade. The knife opens and closes smoothly though it is not a lockback.

The blade steel is 440C with a rosewood handle and the knife was delivered quite sharp. No touch up necessary.

The knife comes out of Toledo, Spain, home to some great cutlery over the years, both historical and artistic. As with many areas of the world, the poor economy, rising material and labor costs and harsh knife laws have curtailed much of the knife manufacturing done there, leaving sportsman and collectors saddened.

There is an entire line of Eagle Eye knives, both folders and fixed blades and all full size models, both tactical as well as traditional cutlery. The knife for this review was purchased through Sonoran Desert Knives, and is available at your favorite retailer.

Make a nice "Sunday go to meetin" knife.

that looks like the perfect gentleman's well like jj say's sunday go to meeting knife.....

Good review Hog. It's just a little small for me. I need more to hold on to.

What a nice piece!!  Although I agree it's a little smaller than most we see, the detail put into this smaller knife is extremely nice.  Placing the SS inlays instead of a rear bolster gives it a larger appearance.  The scroll work and the curve of the front bolster is not overbearing which I find appealing .  Since I am a fan of bare ended and of inlays I like this little guy.  Thanks for sharing it with us Hog.

Thank you JJ, slips down in the pocket too!

I got my own Gentleman's Knife today.  I love it!!  Great little size and she's just a beauty.  Great photo Steve.  That's what made me buy it.  I think I will drop it in my pocket and start carrying this one each day.

Glad you got yours Lee! It is a nice size, surprisingly sturdy and just a fun knife to throw in the pocket or on the key chain! Watch it sparkle in the sun!
