Recently acquired an Excelsior pocket knife for &10. I had never heard of the knife company and honestly at a glance thought it said electrical. Sure was happy with my mistake when I found out what I have.

My Levine's guide to knives says this about Excelsior knife Co. Trademark Sold to Northfield c1884. Location Torrington "Ct. made in USA . Mfr 1880-1884.  I hope this helps you.
