So yeah, it's a made-up holiday for knife retailers (I think Smoky Mountain Knife Works was behind it), but most if not all the big knife stores celebrate (that is, have sales) for the "holiday".  And there are some for whom this really is a holy-day, so good for them!

And for many of us, every day is Knife Day.  And sometimes, it's even "New Knife Day (NKD)".  And for some of us, those of us who are just so fortunate, in just the right way, during just the right moon, and alignment of the planets, National Knife Day can ALSO be New Knife Day!

And today, for me, it was that day...

My newest addition to the collection:  The Benchmade Meatcrafter!  (I've been wanting this knife for years now, stumbled upon a sale, & finally decided that now was the time..)

And here is the Meatcrafter being welcomed into the collection with a number of other long-time favorites.  A "meat & greet," as it were...!  (Sorry for the dad joke, maybe I just haven't been making enough jokes recently.)  Oh, but today is a day of mirth & merriment!  Happy National Knife Day, Every One!
