In looking through my collection, I find that I have knives from seven countries.  Is this typical or are most collectors more focused than me?

I have those same plus some from Brazil, France, Sweden and Canada.

Wayne .. what do you have from Brazil ???? 

I spent a month down there on business some yrs ago .. and could locate NADA of local manufacture. And I looked .. hard !!! Same for Columbia .. all I could find was Buck, Wenger, Victronics, Case, & some "No Stamping" ones.

I think it is marked Tramontina and it is a large folder I think. Been some time since I had it out.

I also forgot that I have a couple of Marttiini from Finland along with one Mora from Sweden. and I have one IXL from England.

Now I can add Brazil, with this Corneta Wotan.

The China, El Salvador,  Ireland, Japan, Pakistan, and Taiwan made knives were probably produced by American companies that had outsourced production.  The other knives were made by parent companies owned and operated in the named country.  So my  non-outsourced knives come from:

  6. France
  7. Germany, West Germany
  8. India
  9. Italy
