Just a guess here but it has a look of something from India.

Could be...though I've searched Indian, Persian, Nepalese, Oriental, Celtic, Bronze Age, Middle Age and any other search I could do, to find something that's similar in style to this one.

I'm stumped...

Though my best guess would support Michaels post, based on the amount of brasswork that's done in regions of India.

I have never seen one like it, my guess had been Egyptian, thanks guys gives me another place to look at.

It is very likey from Tibet the handle is in the shape of the Stupa of Nirvana and the Pommel is a Lotus Flower. Given the simplicity of design and workmanship it was most likly the work of a young student as a form of and/or an aid to Meditation.

Stupa of Nirvana

This stupa refers to the death of the Buddha when he was 80 years old. It symbolizes his complete absorption into the highest state of mind. It is bell-shaped and usually unornamented.

Thank you Chris Sievert!  I just knew you would have some insight.  You have studied so many types of knives for the accuracy on your miniatures!
