That's a hard decision. It would probably be a David Yellowhorse Buck 110 or a Blackjack jet pilot with stacked leather handle. A 1982 Remington Bullet knife in mint shape would be ok also.
You need to get hit in the head. Hard, really hard.
So hard that you visit www.bugei.com and realize they have much better quality than PC.
Just take my word for it as a sword polisher and JSA practicioner (Japanese sword arts). If it would be any commercially made sword from outside of Japan then Bugei always delivers.
Let me know if you want to recondition an old blade and use it with a Sashikomi Nugui finish. But I think you know the cost of my services and the cost of a good Tamahagane sword.
I'm off to recondition an old chisel because Scott didn't make my christmas golden. So now I have to work to get what I wanted instead, BAH! Seriously Scott, is this how you treat your members! ;)

My grandson gave me an Oliver F. Winchester Signature Series 200th Anniversary gift tin; 3" Pocket Knife, 2 blade Pocket Knife and a watch fob. He's 9 years old, and as per his mom, (my daughter), he picked it out himself, with no coaching from her. Some kids are raised right ;-) Hope you all had the Christmas you wanted. Jim

Wonderful post, James, and I'm with you 100%. Give that boy and his mom a hug from everyone at my house!

My younger son, 19, gave me a Gerber Descent II. I don't have anything else like it. And he saved the day. I had a $50 rebate gift card for Amazon & my wife said if I got another knife, she's stop speaking to me! So I ordered a Lamy Safari fountain pen, & a Graph Gear mechanical pencil.
