Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Good Morning and welcome to our first contest of the year 2014.  Let's have some fun!

On January 14, 2014 The Shot Show begins.  We all know this will bring out many new designs from virtually all manufactures.  Just take a look at who attends is massive show and you can get an idea of how many designs are unveiled.

So here is your challenge, from today through midnight EST on the 13th of January

  • come into the discussion and tell me what YOU want to see unveiled. Give me the company Name, steel and blade style. For every day you submit an entry, you get a ticket in the drawing.

One entry per person per day.

Be sure to stay tuned here on the 14th, I will have a discussion going about who has released what and how to find the info on the web.  I will also be releasing the name of the lucky member to win the iKC Gear.

Speaking of Damascus, I would love to see GEC make my favorite pattern [ Moose ] in a Damascus blade. Good Luck, Everyone.

I would like to see a Case Sodbuster with amber jigged bone scales and a liner lock.

Charles....

I like your idea as well....adding a thumb stud and pocket clip.

dont think i made it in time but thats fine..  but still a great knife would simply be CASE taking their SODBUSTER and adding a LOCKBACK.. i have even writen them over it..LOL..  hey and remember with a little customizing .. you can have almost any knife ya want!

LOL! .. CHARLES... i didnt even see this. i wrote CASE about a year ago and asked what was up on a lockback or linerlock version of their sod knife.  i went back and started reading the posts of others wishes and then i saw yours and was glad to see tha twere on the same page with that knife. it needs a lock of some sort.

@CLINT .. agree on the adding of both of those as well.

@EVERYONE.. love all the ideas and reading them!!

I would like to see a Case Sodbuster with amber jigged bone scales and a liner lock.

Congratulations to our winner.......Mr Rick Hooper!

Thank you everyone!  I know some of the makers have been watching with us

Way to go Rick Thanks Jan for the fun

A great big, Congrat's to Rick. This was a fun contest, it let everyone become a knife designer.

Congrats Rick!!  Fantastic ideas were in abundance, very cool!

Thanks Jan and iknifecollector.com, I can't believe that happened! Thanks Randall and  Robert! I meet with Ron Tate at the National Knife Museum yesterday. Micheal was off, we talked knives of course! They had a great sale on Rough Riders, Buck and Marbles items yesterday. I have some great old time patterns to trade locally. Spent about six hours there, seems like I never see it all!

Thanks, Max! I saw alot of smart , practical and , what could be,

some beautiful knife designs submitted. I posted what I liked, and would enjoy owning, some of the other entries and ideas!
