Like Brad, I've been using Benchmade's Blue Lube for about a year now. I will apply it to any moving parts and then use some canned air (Dust Off) to blow out any excess. On my folding knives that may be used for food prep I use mineral oil.

3 in 1 is definitely "Old School." My dad used it on everything! And, because we always had several cans of it in the house or garage, I too used it for most of my life. Right up until these last couple of years when I started reading threads like this and decided to try some of the products I would see others recommend.

So now, after reading the comments here, I think I would like to try some Coon P ?
