Knife & Other Sharps; What are the Guidelines about Selling an' Eligibility?

Most of what I've collected is pretty ordinary; known brands, virtually all used, the majority are folding pocketknives, with a few older sheath knives. A few axes & hatchets, plus a very few publications.

What are the norms, an' what is the manner of uploading photos? Is there a size limit an' a maximum number allowed?

I've just joined, so may not be immediately eligible to offer any of this stuff here. I can accept that. Thanks!

Hey Warren - I can try and help you here. Let's start off with the "norms". You must be a member of iKC to post photos or sell. Is Warren a member? Check. OK - that takes care of the norms.

Selling Knives - we have a dedicated place to post and offer knives for sale - or to post if you are looking to buy something. In the menu bar above, select Forum, then scroll doun to "Knives for sale or trade". You'll be able to add your own thread here. Here's the direct link to it: https://iknifecollector.com/forum/categories/knives-for-sale-or-tra...

By using this sport in Forums, we keep all the selling and trading in one place rather than scattered throughout the many groups and threads.

Next - Navigation/FAQs - this is also on the main meu bar above. I cannot over emphasize how important it is to trudge throuh that page and digest what is important to you. In it are site aides and links to other site aides on just about everything iKC - including photos.

If adfter to master these items and you still have questions or need assistance - give a shout. Someone if not me will be happy to assit.

Ok - now for the Photo assistance. First and foremost, I can't explain any better than what you will find in the FAQs regarding photos....but I can explain it a little differently perhaps. In short - there are a couple of primary ways to add photos.

First - what are you uploading a photo to? On your private page, on the left menu you can upload photos to your own library or create photo albums. You can go to my page to see the difference between the two. Adding photos to your library is pretty self explanitory - and it will make sense after you knock out a couple. Select Photos from your menu, then select the +Add button in the upper right hand corner. After that, just follow the steps. When uploading to your library, there is an 8 photos per day limit. This is the process for uploading photos from your computer.

There is also some instructions for uploading from your mobile device - I'll have to find those for you -

Next reply - adding photos to Blogs and Replys

And lastly - adding photos to Blogs and Replies. This is by far the easiest...well for me anyway.

In a reply such as this (works the same when creating a thread too), pay attention to where your curser is at in the reply or thread you are creating and select the Image icon in the Text menu bar right above here....second icon from the left.

That will take you to the upload Image tool and follow the steps - same as adding a photo to your library. The neat thing about placing photos in a reply is that it doesn't count against your 8 per day max. The down side is that if the photos within threads are not saved in your photo library unless you place them there first. They are embedded within the thread.

So that's the quick and dirty of it all. I hope all this blathering on my part is helpful to you. If not...well, there you go.

Na Zdrowie!

Lars

Lars pretty much has it nailed! :) Thanks for checking, Warren.
