How about a discussion on Lanyards?

Types of lanyards and how used?

I could use about 4 good lanyards - anybody have some to sell?

How about some pics of knives with lanyards on them?

Hey Ken, Google paracord crafts. You can find most any style of lanyard and easy instructions too. It would probably be cheaper to make some than even shipping costs.

Leather thong with a simple double overhand knot.

My Hammond Cruiser and Beretta M9 with custom diagonal square braids.

Here's a cross lanyard I made for my 2011 club knife.

Very nice JJ, nice looking lanyards

Careful if you start.  It can get addictive.  When you start accumulating scraps, you'll start looking for other projects, like key fobs...

Sorry, I have never been in to Lanyards. They look neat and all, I just never did put any on my knives. That sure is some neat ones you have there, JJ.

I have never been into them either, but I have 2 Folding hunters and 2 Remington 1178's with lanyard holes in them and I thought it would be neat to put lanyards on them. I have one rawhide lanyard with knots in it, but I have really seen some nice ones on here and wondered about putting nice ones on my 4 knives.

LOL, guys, I usually don't use lanyards either.

I like the simple leather on the small lockback.

The Beretta stays in the case with my pistol.  The Hammond Cruiser is in my nightstand.

Only one that I like to use, with a lanyard, is the 2011 club knife.

Great topic! I love lanyards! Most can be easily made and Google is your friend. The internet is loaded with tutorials and talented people who can guide you through the process of learning and tying the various knots that are commonly found on most lanyards.

Also, lanyards of all shapes and sizes can be easily purchased. Simply type "550 Paracord Lanyard" into a Google search and then refine your search with either "buy" or "purchase." You will find a veritable cornucopia of lanyards, I assure you!

Posted in another thread. My drawer of Spyderco users. All of which have lanyards attached:

Thanks Ron - I will look into that.

Ken,

Let me give you a nudge in a direction that I have personally found to be helpful. This link is for a gentleman who goes by the handle, "Stormdrane." His work is phenomenal! How To Tie A Lanyard Knot ~ Stormdrane

And then here is another gentleman whose handle is , "Paracordist." Here is a link to his blog: Paracordist Blog

Those two gentlemen each do amazing knotwork!

And here are some other sites that I have bookmarked, should you care to have a glance...

Paracord dot Com

YouTube Videos "How To..."

That should give you a good start. Remember that Google is your best friend for anything 550 Paracord!

Cheers, mate!

Thanks a million Ron, very helpful

I think Hog even did a watchband if I remember right
