Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Story with a happy ending. We are always told to store our knives out of there sheaths, well I did but I put the sheaths in a box in my closet back w hen I was in high school. After I graduated college mom cleaned out my room and put all my stuff in the garage, the knives were in dads gun cabinet so they stayed inside. This was about 1987. Fast forward to this weekend, I finaly found the box, and it has more in it than I thought. Original box's some with sales slip, some nice kitchen knives missing handles, all my sheaths and a Colonial combo knife set. Oh and also the original sheath for my great grandfathers W.R. Case & Son bowie, super rare.

Great find!

I will add more pictures but so far the coolest thing to me anyway is a reciept in the Buck 112 Ranger box that shows my dad bought it the day before my birthday in 1975. Bought it at a local gun and sporting goods shop thats been out of business for over 20 years now. I knew it was a gift but couldnt remember when or if it was for Christmas. Now I know it was my birthday, thanks dad. Oh and I was 12, not a bad gift for a 12 year old.

Here is the Buck 112 Ranger reunited with its sheath, original box and paperwork and the sales slip, yes thats is $20.00 on the reciept.

How cool is it to know at that time on that day, you were all that was on Dads mind.  A 12 year old that needed a Buck!
