A status was just put up by our friend Royal pines Cutlery (Joe)

"Sad news. Our iKC member, Robert Palontonio ~ "bonfirebob" ~ of the "ORIGINAL Colonial Knife Co. passed away on Nov. 17th. R.I.P. Bobby."

Bobby will always be remembered by his willingness to help.  He answered many questions and always with a smile.  He will sincerely be missed.  Please join us in Prayer for his family and friends

Praying for the family. Although I did not have the privilege of knowing Robert, I am sure he will be missed by those who did. Sorry for the loss of a friend of iKC.

A tragic loss to the knife collecting community-- A heck of nice man and a wealth of knowledge-- His passing will be felt by many in the knife community-- My condolences to his family, and you and yours are in my prayers ---

So sorry to hear the news. He was quite a guy and I enjoyed having him as part of iKnife Collector. My prayers for the family. http://iknifecollector.com/profile/RobertAPaolantonio?xg_source=pro...

Praying for Robert's family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Bonfire Bob

My heart sinks to hear this news. Robert was a real prince of a guy, as well as a wealth of knowledge regarding Colonial knives and their history. Truly a loss to the knife world and our community here at iKC. My condolences to Robert's friends and family.

In our chat tonight Greg Dash asked that we help a friend pass peacefully.  Losing a life long friend is always difficult.

A friend of mine, Sam Portnoy. 6 ft tall 200 lb. Build like truck. Lieutenant in Soviet Army with 25 years of service, Avid archer. Father, Grandfather, husband.Doctors giving him a day or two. No more. Colin cancer. Nothing anybody can do. Just pray for peaceful passage, please

Greg, Donnie and I are Praying in Jesus name that the Lieutenant goes to rest with peace and love

I am praying for him and his family too.

May God be with Sam in these last hours, give him peace in his heart and strength for his family. In Jesus Name.

So hard to lose a friend like that. Praying for him and all who knew him.
