I am a novice so please be patient with me.  I have a MSA Gladstone Mich hunting knife of which I know very little.  In what I have read I think this might possibly be an early first generation Marbles knife.  It is 9 1/2 inches overall with a 5 1/2 blade, and has a full stag handle.  I"ve been unable to locate one like it on the internet.  I'm wondering how old this knife is and is the handle original or a replacement?

I thank you both Jan and Dale for this great information.  I guess I have and Ideal knife mfg between 1904-1918.  That is great as I plan to display it with an old percussion North Carolina rifle.  Thank you for your efforts.

Thanks Jan .. for narrowing the stamping date down to those yrs ..&.. link to book. Yes, it does look like a good resource for the serious Marble's collector.

This is the original Marbles Products book from 1999 put together by Robert Schmeling from 65 of  the old Marbles catalogs from as early as 1902  right up into the 70s. This book is a wealth of infromation for the collector . Every Ideal, Canoe, Trailmaker,Deweese, Safety Folders  ,axes  ,compass ,gamegetter , match safes,oil cans,shell extractors,sheaths,calls,fish gafs  and on and on with dates and configurations.
