Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I've 2 more old Buck 110's at my disposal, of the brass and Pakkawood variety. I've done the damascus and wood scale upgrade project already.

What should I do to this single dot/4 pin Buck? I want to hear suggestions from those of you who like myself are interested in seeing something different, outside the box type ideas. Every idea will be considered and none of them scoffed at.

That's great Brad! I enjoy seeing you do these. Especially since I don't/can't do it anymore.

How about imitation pearl? Or try some bone?

Pearl....I have access to MOP shards used in decorative concrete. Bone is going to part of the next project, this project is all outside the norm modifications.
I like the pearl idea. We have a list started.

How about Giraffe bone

I vote for some swirly acrylic scales.

I found some acrylic white pearl scales on eBay, relatively cheap. They also had it in deep blue, red & green.

Hey you did a red one, maybe a blue pearl and then a white smooth bone?  3 great colors and each a different material

Do you have a link for those "acrylic white pearl scales"? I was just wondering if it's like the stuff I used to use back in the 80's and 90's. The stuff I used to use looked so good it look almost better than real pearl! Guys used to go NUTS over it when I did my re-handling for them.

eBay seller Premium Knife supply out of North Carolina.

That looks pretty much like the stuff I used to use. I did several Queen Toothpicks (and other knives) in it and guys said they thought looked about as good as real pearl! And you can drill it without cracking! And don't have the toxic dust when grinding!

As I wanted to make this knife completely unique and "outside the box", I have a few blade replacement ideas. Take a look at the sketches I made and give me your thoughts.  These would be made from either .095 1095 or .130 440C.

I know how JJ would vote. It is possible to install a Wharncliff blade on a 110.

I also have scored the Blue Pearl acrylic scales, so that is partially settled. But not completely, I saw something else that interests me also.

My projects have become numerous, so I "appropriated" some bin boxes to keep them organized.
