Roy- I would call it Mint at the very least, and possibly Pristine Mint-Hard to say from just the photos. The standard for NKCA standard for Pristine Mint defines it as not just mint, but mint plus something- Good fit, no specks on a very old knife, etc.Suffice it to say, there are very few of these out there- Perfect plus. Mint is the standard mint-unsharpened, never used, never carried extensively. You are seeing the whole knife up close and personal-- If it meets the Pristine Mint criteria, then I would call it just that.

What is visible in the pics looks GREAT.

What's the inside surface of the liners look like ??? What's the button side look like ?? Look @ the little details .. i.e. every one of mine had some rust starting on the bail. The spring is another part that rusts quickly .. how's yours look ?? Look for anomalies .. does the inside of the knife look as sweet as the outside ??

An accurate answer would require the knife in hand. Short of that .. LOTS of pics !!!

Again, what's visible looks GREAT.

I'll take close up of bail, inside and pins i don't see any rust per say.i'll have pictures posted very shortly. Thanks for reply i just bought it at a flea market in NC-saturday paid 100.cash and a trade of sterling silver.

Here are some close ups.

Everything I see looks SWEET !!!

Also .. I don't see any signs of polishing .. that's good.

When closing .. never squeeze the blade shut past the point needed to engage the lock. I've broken a spring doing this. Bad experience .. best avoided.
I think you got a deal .. a good deal !!!

Might I suggest .. a bit of Renaissance Wax.

You've a keeper there.

So i didn't do bad for 200.00/100.00 in silver,100.00 cash?  I haven't cleaned it and won't.has strong crisp snap and no wiggle of blade really tight and sturdy.good walk the talk.

Where would i find the Renaissance wax and how do i apply??

I dont know where everyone gets theirs but I get mine here http://shop.tsaknives.com/Sharpeners-Honing-Oil-Renaissance-Wax-Pol...

it takes just a small dollop

Thanks for lead,i'll buy some.:)

im no expert on condition terms but I would say you got one minty knife, yeah you did good, hope the wife doesnt miss the silver. lol.

I get my Renaisance wax at gun shows, maybe knife shows might have it too? Google it you can also get it online. Dont be shocked by the price, its expensive everywhere but it works and a little really does go a long way. Buy the big jar and wax all your carbon steel knives.

I get mine here .. 200 ml for $20.oo.

.

Best deal I've found ..and.. 200 ml will last a loooooooong time !!!
.
Clean the knife gently .. dry non abrasive cloth .. maybe a toothpick down inside. Then, apply a SMALL amount of the wax & rub around until ALL is coated .. let dry .. rub it down. That's it.

.

I use it on ........

leather products .. wallet, purse, holster, sheath, ....

Wood .. knife scales, tool handles, furniture, ....

Steel .. firearms, knives, tools, ...

It's universally accepted as ..

.

WONDERFUL SCHTUFF !!!

good price Dale!!
