Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Howdy y'all!

I'm a new member and I have a Kissing Crane that I picked up at a flea market this weekend. The tang stamp is partially worn away and I can't decipher it. I thought I would post some pics and let some experts take a peek at it. I'd appreciate any information you could give.

Welcome Vernon !! I took the liberty of reposting you original photo and then rotated it and ran it through my photo enhancement program as best as I could- I am no authority on Kissing Cranes and could not locate a guide to their tang stamps to compare it to- Hope some of our other members can take it from here--

Let me ask you what makes you think it's a Kissing Crane? Can you please tell us what it says, I can't make it out. Thanks.

Thanks, John.  Robert, the other blade has the kissing cranes stamped on it, but no text.  See attached pic.  The blade pictured has what appears to be 3 lines of text.  The first is the largest and consists of all caps letters including "AEKA?".  The second appears to be "Cutlery Co."  The third says "Rimet?"  The stamp is mostly worn off as you can see.  I'm wondering if maybe this is a rebuild from more than one manufacturer?

Well for sure that last pic shows two cranes! And thanks for checking that John, it does look like someone possibly over cleaned that knife.

by the way here is a sample stamp:
