Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I recently bought an inexpensive Mushroom knife.  I've never seen one but the pattern intrigued me.  Turns out plenty of companies make them  but for the most part those companies aren't famous knife makers.  The pattern is more common in Europe than the USA.

But it got me to thinking. What are some of the other purpose built oddball patterns out there that you just don't see that often?   What do you consider purpose built oddballs?  Equine knives?  Pipe Smoker's knife?  When does the odd ball become a standard pattern?  Champaigne/Bartneder? Hawkbill/Pruner?

This is an old Corn Knife

I got this knife at Wall Drug.  I had never seen one like it before or since.  The guy in the knife shop at Wall Drug told me that rock climbers used them hooked on a caribiner.  It was made by United Cutlery and is called a  Little Night Watchman.
