Thinking about selling my REKAT Hobbit Warrior. Never been used or sharpened. The only marks are from the kydex sheet which would be included. Just wondering how much I could get for it.

Nick, I'll be happy to help you out, but I need a little more info to give you an accurate price--- No offence, but hard to tell  a lot from the pics This knife had many different versions, which do affect the price--

1- Is the blade bright steel, more of a satin finish (grey finish(, or something else ??

2- Are there any tang stamps (etched marks) on the blade near the handle or anywhere else-- Some numbers or letters might mean the blade steel used, which can affect the price-- They used more than one on this knife

3- A very few  had serial numbers for a limited production series-- Also affects price

4- Some of these had Damascus blades-- Contrasting light & dark blades-- 2 different metals in the blade-- Also affects price

5- General price range--$110-to over $400- depending on the above factors--These knives were discontinued around 2001 and are  highly sought after-- If you can answer some or all of the questions above, I can zero in on a price for you-- BTW, I do not know your knife expertise, so if some of my questions were overly basic-- no harm was intended---

John had some very good information.  I was just going to say that these were like $750 new, but how much you can get for it kind of depends on how much you want for it and how badly you want to sell it.  I know that sounds rather simplistic and I would defer to John's comments first, but this time of year I see a lot on sellers online with "I need some cash for Christmas" kind of thing.  It also depends on what your motivation is.

Looks like blade has satin finish. No stamps on the blade except an eye stamp on the guard. No serial number. I posted about 4 pics.

Spyderco makes a version now for sale on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Spyderco-Warrior-Black-PlainEdge-SpyderEdge/d...

One sold in 2013 for $735.00. Before that they were half the the price.

Actually Steve, the Pygmy Warrior from Spyderco is the appropriate equivalant for this Hobbit Warrior.

Ah , the Pygmy Warrior, I see the comparison. Thanks Brad!

Spydercos are great knives and that is a good price, but a copy is a copy. So should I sell my Hobbit or just hang on to it.?I've searched on the web and there's not one for sale. Been searching for a few years now and they are very rare and I believe whoever owns them hang on to them. The Hobbit is well balanced, original in design, practical for what it's made for and deceivingly light.
