Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hello everyone.  I just joined the community and wanted to post what I am after collecting wise.  I collect all kinds of Purina advertising knives but I love the Remington's the best.  I an desperately looking for a two blade as the one that I have has a severe case of cracked ice scales.  But I am open to all Remington's if they are in good shape.  I am also open to other brands as long as they are not "run of the mill".  I have plenty of those.  I am looking for out of the ordinary.  A few I have ran across were a  Ward's and a John Primble.  I have lots of duplicates in my collection so I am open to trade or outright purchase.

Thanks,

Greg

I collect advertising knives of a few different varieties.  I have several different permanent searches on a popular auction site that nets me a couple of hundred choices a day.  I see many Purina knives come up.  One of the more prolific advertisers on the knife medium.

Yes that is because Purina has been in the feed business since 1894.  Almost 120 years of advertising!

I have been searching on FeeBay everyday for quite some time and I have rarely lost an auction on something that I really wanted.  On one auction that I lost I found that it came back up for sale a couple of months later because of non-payment.  I actually got it for less than I originally bid.

I assume you have a copy of Richard Whites, "Advertising Cutlery"?  I have the whole first chapter covered.
