could you share where you got this new info so I could see it and perhaps print it out to jeep with the knife. Thanks again for your help identifying this

Argh!

Of course you would ask for that.

I will have to re-find it.  I do know that it was in a location that I was not expecting to see anything pertinent about RH knives.  I read the information and catalogued it in my noggin, then moved on.  Sorry about not having that information source at my fingertips.

If I come across it again, I will be certain to provide that information here.

Thank you for your time and input

Oh, that is nicely polished.  And well photographed!  I'm really liking this knife!

A wee bit of a divergency...

The RH134 was the same blade pattern as the RH34, but in stainless steel.  Both had the layered leather disc grips.

The RH44 was the same pattern as the RH34 as well, but had the rubberized grips.  The RH44 was not stamped into the metal but rather had an ink stamp that fairly quickly wore off.  The RH44 was only made in 1938 by Remington DuPont.

More information from a source that I hold as being the authority in matters of Remington sheath knives.

Year introduced:  1926

Last Year Offered: 1930

OAL : 9-3/8"

Blade Length : 5".  Blade will be stamped "STAINLESS"

Butt Cap: Aluminum with countersunk brass nut

Guard : half guard is Nickel Silver

Beautiful example!
