Does anyone have a 580T stockman made by Ulster ? The tang stamp says Ulster, USA, 580T. From what I read, these were used in the prince Albert Tobacco can offers.  I have seen a few on Ebay , and i am interested in buying one, but would like to know how rare they are. Here is the link to the article I read,  http://collectors-of-schrades-r.us/articles/Ulster.pdf

Ricky, I don't think I have ever seen one. I have one of those cans with the offer on it. When you get one, I look forward to seeing your pics. Ken

Well you have me interested now for sure.  I vaguely remember seeing the offer but would really like to see what you come up with!

Just a point for the sake of accuracy, and anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the model number designation is "OT" for "Old Timer". This is consistent with the model designations of "UH" for the Uncle Henry line, which I believe have the same model numbers but different handle materials.

There were 3 knives on that Prince Albert Tobacco offer. I have the complete set with the can of tobacco and the offer form. I wouldn't want to taste that tobacco after all of these years but I thought it was a good find to have Ina set versus just the empty can...LOL
The set consists of an Old Timer Barlow 10 OT (Ulster Tang Stamp), 58 OT (Ulster Tang Stamp) and an Old Timer Scout knife (Ulster Tang Stamp)

Tom, that is a neat set to own. Congrats.

Here is a photo of the set

Nice Tom, Thanks for posting these

Very nice Tom

I will look and see if I have an extra. I have all three of those knives in mint condition with both types of tins with different advertising on them along with six of the coupons that you were supposed to send in for the knives all in a display box. OK I know I better post a photo and I will. For some reason I think I have another 58OT but it isnt mint but from what I remember its in good condition. If I find it I will post a couple photos for you as well. Who knows?? Maybe you have something to trade? I will try to get in here more often.

Sincerely,

John

Thanks John, post some pics of what you have , we might could trade something.

Ricky

Here are three photos of my extra 58OT. Let me know if your interested and I will send it to you, once its in your hands you let me know if you have something to trade or I will sell it to you for a fair price. I know I take a lousy photo but I'll keep trying.

Sincerely,

And a ohto or two of my Prince Albert collection.
