I have this knife  that I believe was my grandfathers. Since he lived in Bavaria I suspect it is from Germany. I know that he served in the German army in WWI and passed about 1968 so that may be some clue as to when it was made. The only markings on it are an edelweiss flower stamped in the blade itself.
