Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hello All,

I bought this collection of knives back in 1994 at a now closed knife store at a local mall. I have kept it in the original box since then, taking it out to admire every now and then. I loved these little jems but never wanted to carry any of them in  my pocket, so as not to lose or mess any of them up. Recently, I have thought about selling them. Can anyone give me ant idea of how I should sell them? I mean, I bought as a set.  Is it better to sell that way? And What would be a good sale price as a set. I see these knives selling for different prices individually but would like to keep together. All have Seki - Japan on the blade except the stainless steel handled one which has just japan inked on the blade. I belive when I bought them they were a set for window display. Any info at all would be helpful,  thankyou

Still for sale.

Eric, do these come with sheaths & individual boxes?  Let's discuss particulars. Please send me a private memo with email/phone or whatever you are comfortable with.

Hello. Sorry I been working a lot this week. I bought these knives as a set and they came in the original, foam lined display box, marked with al mar logo and this slides into another box which is worn and not as nice as the display one. There are no sheaths. I think when you buy individually you get a sheath. I was at a knife store outside of Pittsburgh and they were in the window. Back in 1996. They have never been used and basically been in my sock drawer forever. When I posted them for sale I needed to pay up on some bills but have since then started a new job. I would still sell but for the $900.00. Individually they go for a little less or a lot more then one hundred a piece, depending on the handle material. If you want I could send you more pics. The only thing I thought was weird about the set is the MADE IN JAPAN across the blade of the stainless steel handle knife. All are marked Al Mar and Seki Japan Steel.

Hey Eric, no worries. While the knives are beautiful and look pristine, I've seen a few sets and they came with individual boxes & sheaths as well. "As Is" I'm stuck with an offer around $800. If you are happy holding onto them that's no problem and if you want to sell them for higher you might check out the Huntingdon knife show which is next week (5/18). Knife show link

Thanks for getting back to me and if my situation changes and I'm willing to offer more I'll certainly let you know.

If these are still available I am interested.

Please contact me.

Sorry I bought these off of Eric already.

Thanks for the response, if you ever want to sell one or all just send me an email. If you have any extra ospreys for sale I would be interested.

Thanks Roger - another buyer recently cleaned me out of all my Ospreys (including this set). Thanks for your interest though.

If anyone has seki or usa/seki ospreys that are not engraved I would be interested.
Please contact me.

Scott, Congrats on the sale!

Roger, thanks for the discussion on buying these.  Good luuck in the Quest and I will keep my eyes out at shows for you

Thanks Jan :)
