Hello, guys

I am new to this forum. I am a collector/user of foldings, specially Kershaws, Spydies and CRKT. I have a problem with one of the pivot screws of an Injection 3.0, which is overtightened (from factory) and stuck. I have stripped two T6 screwdrivers trying to adjust it (the blade deploys very, very poorly, I almost need two hands). Any idea to unlock it?

Thanks!

Antonio, it is possible that they have put loctite on the pivot. Id suggest warming it up slightly using a hair dryer to loosen the loctite up, this has worked for me before just make sure you dont burn yourself.

Also just to verify. When trying to unscrew, make sure you are trying to unscrew counterclockwise on the display side of the knife. The display side is the side with the kershaw logo.

If you are still unable to remove the screw contact Kershaw's customer service department. I have had fantastic experience with them.

Antonio .. as Adam stated .. there's likely a thread locking compound of some type in use. I'd try the heat thing as suggested.

And .. perhaps .. a Torx driver of higher quality  .. higher hardness .. probably .. higher $.

No offense meant .. I've stripped a # of torx drivers myself.

Last one I purchased was a KOBALT. The 4 bits in the handle type .. 8 sizes total. I've been happy with it.

Thanks for your answers, guys. One of the drive S was a cheapo, indeed. Tha other one was a Wiha, which is a better quality. Anyway, I managed to disassemble the whole thing except for that screw. It is a weird construction. It was kind of inserted more than screwed. I could move it around but not extracting it. I took out every piece, polished the washers (copper and brass), the contact zones within the blade, lubed it all... But it is still hard to move. No smooth at all. It is also weird to me that there are two very thin copper washers in contact with the blade and then two brass ones in contact with the liners and the copper washers. It does not seem to help with the smoothness at all. However, I have claimed to the vendor who kindly will send a new one free of charge.
Thanks again guys, you are awesome.
