The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I joined on Friday and I've been using my iPad. The browsing and refreshing was painfully slow. I am now on my laptop and this forum is now a breeze to flow through.
Odd, since the drum forum, and every other page I visited all weekend, didn't have a problem with speed or anything.
Anyone else notice this?
Thanks

I use a PC and tablet with Android. The speed seems to be dependent on the processor, memory, etc. of each different device. My PC is about average. NOT a gaming PC. OTOH, my tablet is new and pretty dang fast. It's a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition). Great tablet IMO.
However, there is a HUGE difference in how I post replies on the different devices. When on my tablet I almost CAN'T type in a reply box like I am now. I have to type into a text file (.txt) then copy and paste it into a text box on this forum. I don't have to do that on other forums. I don't know why this is. It may be a setting in the tablet settings or something. What happens on my tablet is I type a character and it appears IN FRONT OF the blinking cursor. Then what I type after the first character is on the wrong side of the character. If I were to type my name on the PC it looks like this "Jack". On my tablet sometimes (not always) it would look like "ackJ". Don't know why this happens and what's more confusing is it doesn't happen all the time. So, when on my tablet I just automatically type replies (expecially long ones) in a txt file then copy the whole thing, open a text window in the forum and paste it there. This method is a bit of a pain but it works 100% of the time.
I use Fire Fox on pc and tablet. I switched to Fire Fox when I got the tablet so I could sync Fire fox and share the bookmarks on one device when I'm on the other one.
