The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I would appreciate any help on learning more about it and also, if possible, finding out an approximate value.
Thanks everyone!

Some very good pictures Thomas and there are several knives out there on the internet that kind of match up. So we'll see if we can get a pretty close match or two with value.
Thomas, the RCCO stands for Robeson Cutlery Co.-- The 2nd rarest knife made in WWII- Only made 36,000. The only rarer WWII issued knife was the Boker, who made 31.000- The crossed cannons on the cross guard is also a big plus--- Most WWII collectors would consider this a center piece for their collections due to its rarity-- I have seen minty versions with sheath sell for $1000- to the unbelivable price of $3000-- Yours is not exactly minty, and minus the sheath, but I guarantee most militaria collectors would drool over owning it-- Definitely, a HUGE price increase from the $1 you paid for it---WOW!!!
John~Needless to say that you may have possibly made my years(s) LOL!!!! Thanks so much for the info-I did a search for this to see if I can come up with a price to sell it for. I really want it to go to someone who is going to appreciate it, not that I don't~but a collector of military blades. Need to check out the rules for selling it on here.
Thank you again and I really enjoyed our convo.
