Hey everyone,

I just got this small piece of fossilized walrus ivory from a sled runner.  Not sure what to do with it.  I hope you all can help with suggestions.  Thanks!

Some kind of inlay, maybe?

Butt cap on an awesome custom knife

!!! .. Oh my .. !!!

.

My best suggestion,

lots of thought, consideration, & serious planning !!!

..and..

Looks like you're starting down that path right now.

.

Best of luck.

... combined w/ scrimshaw would be pretty amazing. Likely .. rather pricey though. i.e. good scrimshaw isn't cheap.

At rock and mineral shows there are jewelry makers than can cut and mount it for a reasonable price. They might recommend a shape.
