Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

A friend wanted me to see if I could find anything out about this Winchester.

Where was it made?     When was it made?    What is the pattern?    What is the handle material?

I've never seen a Winchester like this so what do you say about it. Thanks.

That tang stamp was used in the early 90's but I dont know the spread of years.  The material is abolone celluloid

Thanks Jan, that helps

Only thing I can add is that it's a "Fishtail" pattern, Ken.

Thanks JJ - OK Early 90's, Abolone celluloid, Fishtail pattern -- Anyone know where it was made and by whom?

My guess, that era and the celluloid materials.  Probably Blue Grass Cutlery, just a guess

In 1986 when Belknap Cutlery closed their doors Blue Grass Cutlery secured the authorized right to reproduce all of the  original patterns of the Winchester Arms Company

Thanks Jan, some say Blue Grass Cutlery doesn't make knives anymore, some say they do. Its a question.

That is a good question.  I thought they contracted out but the page says all their Winchesters except the outdoor series are made in the USA so maybe they do

Jan, I had heard that Queen makes knives for Winchester, do you know anything about that?

The USA Blue Grass knives are worth a lot more than the knives being produced today, for Winchester.

Yes, for sure they are. Wonder what this one is worth?

Ken, I have seen similar knives go for $75-$85. I am just guessing. I hope that helps.
