Found this at my grandfathers old house and it seems to have some sort of value. Older with what appears to be some form of middle-eastern writing. thanks for the help.

hmm interesting... is there any more words or symbols other then the ones shown?
No, just the one pictured. His work had him in many countries such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, etc. so it was possibly from one of these countries.

it says... "bd rahman" its Arabic combind with old aribic... im sure thats the knife maker according to my friend...

Thank you for all of the help! I have since expanded my knife collection to include several benchmades; nice to know I have something different. 

You have a Bedouin shibria dagger, probably Syrian or Trans Jordan.
