Hi all,

Thought I'd start a new thread asking folks to show a Buck knife photo or two. I like just about anything made by Buck. But, am drawn to the Gold etch art knives and love stag handles.

Hello,

This custom made Buck knife was given to my grandmother from Chuck Buck and his wife for her 50th wedding anniversary.  The knife has been past down to me. I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen a knife like this.  It has a serial number on it, as well.  Just looking for any info that you might have.

Thank you!

Buck 120 Cocobolo

Nothing fany but this is my first Buck, a 112 Ranger. Got is for chris,as sometime back in the late 1970s. I dont think I used it for much soits nearly mint. Ive misplaced the sheath somewhere at my parents hous along with a dozen other sheath, must find them someday.

New to the group, but I have several Bucks, (mostly USA), so I guess this would be a good place to post a photo of my newest acquisition.

Nuthin' fancy or stag handled, but here is a Buck 311 Trapper, one of the 300 series manufactured for Buck by Camillus. According to Buck's codes this one would date from 1967-'72. I it found today at the local swap for $20, not a steal, but a reasonable price for a vintage Buck in this condition. I've been looking for one of these for quite awhile as the one I had, which I bought in 1971, (along with a 313 that I still have & carry), was stolen in a burglary years ago, and I always wanted to get another one....today was that day!

Unlike some newer USA Bucks I have, which vary in fit & finish considerably, this vintage knife still has tight, centered blades, with that great snap we all expect from a quality US-made knife, and silky smooth feeling handles with no protruding pins. A few minutes with the stone & the strop sharpened the blades up nicely. This one will now live in a leather sheath on my belt, and will be placed in my EDC rotation, (I use ALL my knives, I collect them to use, not to sit on a shelf).

Found a couple of other knives at the swap today, sweeties for sure, but they aren't Bucks so I won't post their photos here, (they will probably be posted on my blog page soon if you're interested). This is my only Buck Trapper, so I'm glad to have finally found a replacement for my stolen knife, and the fact that it dates from the same period makes it especially sweet. Cheers!

Nice Buck, Syd!

Thanks, I can take that one off of my "must have" list now.
