Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I  recently inherited a case 6347 SS brown smooth bone knife. It has a stockman clip, sheepfoot and spec blade.  However, it has XX on the handle instead of a case logo.  I looked on the internet sites but could not find a CASE knife with XX instead of a case logo.  Any help identifying this knife would be greatly appreciated

Hi, Jay

you mean this kind of shield, I think, which you find on some SFO (but maybe not only), made in the 2000s.

But what can you read on the tang?

If it has the shield as in  Jean's pics it is a Special Factory Order for Smokey Mountain Knife Works.

The XX is in an elongated circular shield not a diamond shield. The tang (bottom of the blade)simply has 6347 with ss underneath it.  No dots or xx anywhere on the knife

I am pretty sure any knife with XX shield are SFO's fo SMKW.

I purchased the Yellowhorse Saddlehorn from Deadwood Knives.

They have a lot of such SFO.
