Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I got a box from Case today addressed to Daniel Sample.  Great!  My grandson's Junior Member annual knife is here!  I opened the box with great expectation.  GROAN!  There was no knife in the box, there was a cap!  It is a nice cap, but I didn't order a cap, I ordered a knife.  The packing slip stated it was the knife, but there was only the cap in the box.  I emailed support at customer service telling them of the error and requesting they send the knife as ordered.  I will also call them Monday.

I think they ought to let me keep the cap also for my trouble.  What do you all think?

A mistake was made.  Give them a chance to correct it.

I just bet they will fix it.

I am guessing Paul is correct and they will correct the issue but I can understand being disappointed when there was no knife.

I am sure they will fix it.  It would be pretty bad PR if they didn't.  It just means I've got to wait even longer.

I just paid $25.00 for that hat , cap, whatever.

Yes a mistake was made but keep the cap, I don't know about that it would be a grand gesture but since all the caps are in the process of being mailed out it's an honest mistake. Yes you will have to wait a little longer.

You know what I hate, going to the drive up at a fast food place and paying for old and cold food, but I get it right away!!!!

if this is his first year in the junior membership, they might have sent the cap in one box and knife in another...?? possibly?  or from 2 different locations?..either way, im sure case will make it right...good luck.

yes this is his first year.  Do they normally send a cap the first year?  I didn't order one.

This was supposed to be the 2013 Junior Member knife.  I also have on order the 2012 Junior Member knife.  My plan is to get him the Junior Member knife each year for his birthday.  Then on his 16th birthday present him all 16 knives.

We all make mistakes.  I am sure they will correct it.  It would be some very bad PR if they didn't.  It is just that when you are so anxious for something, it lets the air out of your balloon when something like this happens.

Yes it was a mistake and I'm sure they'll take care of it not because of PR but because that's the kind of company they are!

I didn't mean to imply that was the only reason they would correct it.  At this point I have no reason to believe they aren't an excellent company that wants to take care of their customers.  A company doesn't stay in business over a hundred years if they aren't.  In fact that is one of the reasons that I have decided to focus most of my knife collecting attention on Case knives.

Well it is a nice hat, but collectors connect here on iKC! I am sure that's just a typo! Not sure why they sent that and not the knife? or knives? But I am sure when you talk to them maybe the boxes crossed in the night!

I don't know Ford let people die in the Pinto and theyre still around and I own a Ford!

I guess I just get heated easy with all the Case bashing over this and that, it just seems now days Sorry doesn't work for people. It was your title that got me right away. I do understand you being disappointed expecting one thing and getting another that you didn't even order. I guess i'd be a bit po'd also!

So I'm sorry if I came on a little strong.

It is a darn nice hat though and I look darn good in mine and it's American made! Not saying it's made by Americans but it's made here I'm told!
