Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I have been buying/collecting knives for about 2 years.  I stated by buying anything that caught my eye.  I have a reasonably complete sets of black pearl  and painted dessert rough rider knives .  I did in the beginning  purchase the occasional case knife.

However  I soon came to the conclusion  that the real fun of collecting for me is all about CASE knives. The joy is in finding  a good buy on  a case knife on Ebay or discovering  a flea market / yard sale gem.  I also get a warm feeling knowing that CASE knives will either hold or increase their value over time.  It helps justify my spending money on a hobby.

I am in the process of joining the CASE collectors club.  My addiction connection to the CASE knife fraternity continues.

You've only been collecting knives for about two years? You'll find most people at some point or other will buy a Case knife. Especially the old timers in knife collecting. I've gone through my Case "phase" many years ago, and now find myself wanting to buy some Case knives again.

Case has everything going for them to get people interested in them. They have a long history, lots of different patterns, lots of different handle materials, lots of different sizes from tiny to big, limited editions, non limited editions, flashy knives, plain knives, all the accessories that get people more attached to the brand.

People can say what they want about Case.....hate them or love them.....but Case goes on as the knife most people compare other knives to! You have to give them their do, W.R. Case and Sons is an icon in the knife industry, and as bad as it was when Schrade and Camillus closed their doors, it would be earth shattering if it happened to Case. At times, I actually feel like I need to do my part to keep them going.

I meant "You have to give them their due...", not "do" - another senior moment :+( I can speel reely good. Reely I kan.

I started collecting in the 70's. I had a great collection of case whittles, from pre-tested up until the mid 80"s when it was time for the kids to go to college most went to happy collectores. I still buy case knives and I don't plan on stopping now.

I always have liked Case and collected a few. I use most of my knives and sometimes to find more efficient users I strayed. But I still look at Case patterns like some of the beautiful stockmans they make and I like them and have bought a few!

I used to carry nothing but Case. Then I strayed. Then I came back. Then I strayed. Then I came back.........

Case is tops in their quality of materials and offerings, but I find paying the premium bars me from using them. Don't get me wrong, the knives can withstand a lot of work.

There are so many choices now and the problem is there are even better steels. So I tread carefully and only buy now when a collector piece comes along that I really want to have.

Sad to say, I've lost more of my Case knives in the past. Used to always carry one. I now have a peanut that I carry, when I want to carry a Case. Which is more often then not.
I love Case. Great in every way. My opinion But it's what I feel.
I tend to carry a little cheaper Knife on me nowadays, due to the fact that my current job doesn't really require me to "NEED" a Knife. But i always carry one.
I try to buy every new Case I can afford and every rusty Case I can find. Got these today at our local flea market. Old, used, and abused, But I love 'em just the same.

Shame on him!! I've been loyal and faithful to my wife for 44 years, and three years before we got married! But if it came down to knives or my wife.............

Just kidding! LOL!

I have 2 edc knives a tony bose back pocket for the big jobs and a 1/2 whittler for the little ones. I buy knives and resell a few of them. One thing I've noticed people will question the quality of a lot of knives but rarely question the quality of a case. Also if it breaks they will fix it as long as it has not been abused.

I'm back in love with Case! I really need to get one of the back pocket knives! I think in CV and Chestnut bone. But I doo like that Dark Molasses and the Ebony.
