Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

i have a modest collection of CASE knives.  I am always looking for a good bargain on a CASE Knife.  I recently purhcased a CASE Muskrat knive that had specialty engraving on the blades.  One blade has " CO-OP and Case".  The other blade has " support 4H and agricultral FAA".  My question is does specialty engraving reduce  the value of the knife.

A friend of mine sold me a Seahorse Whittler that was engraved "Red River Valley Knife Assn"  at the same price as a regular production Seahorse.  Mine is numbered (45).

I've tried to find information on it and all I could find was a Worthpoint listing for a 1995 CASE Muskrat, showing that it was one of 60.

Someone just might be looking for a 4H branded knife and be willing to pay more.

The specialty knives are made to order, they are done in the style the customer requests...The engraving should add value to the basic knife since this is somewhat labor intensive...having a special theme will make it just more favorable to that group.

It was made to be a collectible, so indeed it is...One with the name CASE backing it !
