Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I know we are all into cutting things here but, do you ever just buy a knife cause it looks cool? If so, what kind was it? And what was it about the knife's looks you liked? Post pic if you can.

Nice. Very Nice. I'm glad to know my problem is not just my problem. Talk about a broad range of interest there, Jim.
Thanks, Scott...
Here's one that I made for myself. I swore I'd never do another one because it was so "fiddly" to put together all the scraps I had. But I decided to give it to Tslil's wife when they came to my house last week from Israel. He's a maker, there, and he brought his whole family to see me. His two kids and his mom and dad. Some of the sweetest people that God ever wobbled a gut into!
The pens went to his kids.

Holy Moly! That should only be used to cut Filet Mignon while fine dining :)
yep just purcased a case trapperlock stag and a nidnight bone tested xx oh a ccc forum sea horse whittler...
Cool knife...enjoy it!
Nice collection you have there!
I guess you could say I bought my Zero Tolerance model 302 on looks. Just loved the tiger stripe blade and big ole fatness to the blade! lol
Thanks, John... A few more here:

More knives. Some I've made :http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y15/Unclejim/?start=all
I did it again. Not only did I buy a knife because it looks cool, but I crossed over from antique knives (where I've been for 10 years, exclusively) to tacticals, custom tacticals actually, just because of a blade grind on one single maker that I'd never even heard of. How's that for taking it to the limit- buying based on looks that is.

While I was looking and trying to find one of that company's blade grinds, I bought 3 others from them in the meantime....crazy.

Well the end of last week, I FINALLY found one for sale. It had the blade grind I was hunting- it's called a "Nightmare Grind," incidently. Got it in the mail today. Gotta show ya now.

OK... Gettin' slashed by that has GOTTA' hurt!
Very nice. Have been looking at Striders myself but a little expensive for my income. That being said I will eventually own one. Really like the one in the photo. Looking at my first custom right now. It is a Les Voorhies creation and it has a price of 450.00 and am really struggling with the decision.
Oh, have I ever? MOST of the knives I have, I bought because I thought I just couldn't LIVE without being surrounded by all that beauty! Wittness this genuine Tiger Eye Seahorse by Michael Hoover on Fox Island.
Pocket jewelry, my friends!
