Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I am new to iKnife and am stretching my wings.  One thing I know is I love Great Eastern knives.  I think their quality is hard to beat.  I only have one GE knife but it is just about my favorite.  Wish I could afford more.  Anyway I would always be interested in discussions about these surperb knives.

Well, Stanley, I only have three GECs, but I WILL have more!

I have two Tidioutes myself, and they may be my favorite knives. Speaking of affordability...the new Bullnose Farm and Field Tool by GEC is only $53! Looks like I'll be ordering up my third GEC knife.

Scott,

I'm with you on this Bullnose! It looks to be one really sweet knife. I missed an opportunity to grab the last offering of this knife when it bore the Redneck Farm Tool title. I wasn't going to make that mistake again. I ordered my orange Bullnose yesterday and I am just itching to get my paws on it!

$53 bucks is a steal! Couple that with free priority shipping from the good folks at Collector Knives and you are talking one heck of a bargain for such a high quality knife. If you're serious about grabbing one of these puppies, I'll suggest that you don't want to wait too long like I did on the last go 'round and have them disappear on ya.

Also, I'm curious to know what you think about this year's iKC community knife -- the #57 GEC Geppetto Whittler?

Ron,

I have a small collection limited to a very few styles of pocket knife. The iKC GEC knife is great, but I will be admiring it in others' collections. However, I have made a place for the Bullnose F & F, and I have placed my order with Collector Knives!

Hi, Stanley!

On the GEC website there is a list of dealers and distributors on a drop-down menu. I can save you some time by posting the link here for Collector Knives. That's who I placed my order with. Right now it's in the Early Bird section because Collector Knives are still awaiting their order from GEC, who just started shipping to their distributors last Friday. By placing your order now you are guaranteed to receive a knife. They will be shipping to us just as soon as they receive them!

Here is the link: http://www.collectorknives.net/greateastern.html

P.S., I almost forgot to mention that shipping is free to valid addresses in United States!

Scott!

Thanks for your response! From everything I read about the previous run on the GEC Bullnose, we will not be disappointed with this one. I am really anxious and excited to finally be getting an orange one (even though it's no longer called a Redneck). I plan on posting some pics of mine just as soon as it arrives! We can compare notes, eh!

Have a great day, my friend!

Woohoo...more bullnose owners!   I cant wait to hear about them as soon as you have them in hand

Hey guys, I am a huge fan of Great Eastern myself and an avid user of the #71 Bull Nose. I've used mine for more than a few tough chores and those 01-tool steel blades prove to be worth their weight in.... well cash at least.

The price is hard to beat for a knife of this construction. I know a lot of guys bring up the Sodbuster Jr. that Case offers and the lower price point on it, but there is know competition in actual use. The wallet forgets $50 as quickly as it forgets $20, so in the long run you just have a nicer knife.

Case? Who's that? LOL!  I got bit by the GEC bug and got GECitis.

(no offense meant to all the Case lovers out there) :)

I confess to being a Case lover. But my two Tidioutes are better than most of the Cases I've seen. I alternate my Tidioute #56 and my Case canoe as my EDC. But my other pocket almost always has a Case baby doc for little chores. If the GEC bug stays with me, someday my GEC collection will outnumber the Cases.
