Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I have talked about the fact that I do not own a firearm and since the only hunting I do is trying to find the best cut of meat in my local grocery store, haven't thought of owning a rifle. But after seeing what my friend can do with a block of 7075 Billet aluminum on his CNC machine for a reasonable price may change my mind. As I was visiting about our knife collaboration, I was talking with some of his customers while they were assembling their Upper kits to lowers he had sold them. One of the customers had 13 lowers, he apparently likes the quality. He also has some customers that are active duty military and Law Enforcement.

Below are pictures of an AR Lower he did yesterday. It is a 7-step process on his machines and takes about 30-45 minutes each. He also offers custom engraving and KG gun kote in a variety of colors at an additional charge.

AR15 Lower "paperweight" = $140 (Paperweight = unfinished lower)

AR10 Lower "paperweight" = $180 (Paperweight = unfinished lower)

"Finish"                            = $60 (DR cannot do this process himself without violating gun laws, the purchaser or representative must "Push" the start button for this procedure)

KG Gun Kote                   = $30

Engraving                        = $20-$80 (depending on complexity and placement)

Any discounts for quantity buys (5pc or more) can be arrange with him. If anyone is interested, message me and I will forward your information to him.

I hope to get some pictures soon of the additional work he does on these lowers. He is also working on making a die for 1911 lowers. I would want one of those too.

More to come as I receive the pictures and hopefully some technical jargon about what uppers and stuff you gun guys want to know.

What type gun are you thinking about building? It should be a great project.

From what I saw on Sunday, his customers had a variety of Upper kits. Ranging from 5.56mm, 7.62mm, and some other sizes. I am familiar with NATO rounds but I wouldn't rule out any readily available round.

I haven't bought a Lower yet, so I have plenty of time to think about it.

Do you know what he is charging? Also do you know if he makes any AR-10 style receivers? Keep me updated. His work looks good.

a great start

Brian,

DR has confirmed he does fabricate an AR-10 lower.
