Favorite model Kershaw

What is your favorite Kershaw model? Right now, I really like the Kershaw groove. The blade is just so unique and original, it seems like such an interesting knife.

I have a number of edcs but come back to my Skyline time and time again. It is discrete but so quick in the hand and feels like part of you in use. I really like the "overtight" clip, I like knowing I'm not gonna lose it. The spearpoint shape is super practical and the sandvik hollow grind slim blade is easy to keep shaving sharp. Its virtually unbeatable in the kitchen as a "to hand" knife. The (semi) clean through body makes it easy to rinse off too. A really great knife!

Plus...can anyone find a grippier G10 on any knife anywhere? The grip factor on a Skyline's G10 is astonishing!

I have been collecting kershaws for awhile and I would have to say its a tie between the Blur(tanto, combo edge) and an Oso sweet

That is a tough question since Kershaw makes so many really nice knives. Since this posting is about picking a favorite, I'm going to say that, for me, it is a tie! What? I know, I know..."Aw, 'cmon! Pick one, not two!" Well, I can't pick one over the other. So which models are tied for "First" in my knife book? The Tyrade model with black G10 handle scales and a154cm/D2 composite blade with a stonewashed finish is just barely at the top of my list. RIGHT behind it is the Junkyard dog with the black G10 handle scales and the Sandvik/D2 composite blade. For me...both the Tyrade and Junkyard Dog fit my hand and are a size that works well for me. I placed the Tyrade just ahead of the JYD because I prefer the blade materials and stonewashed finish (I've got a fetish for that particular blade treatment). From an ergonomic standpoint, the Junkyard is just a touch better, though I do wish that the handle was just a bit larger. The Tyrade lacks jimping on the flipper and the blade spine while the JYD has these covered very well. All in all, both blades are fantastic!

For heavy duty use it's the Boa. To me, it's got the feel and performance of a Cadillac... a precision-made rock-solid boat that likes to gravitate towards the center line and dominate the road.

For medium duty use it's the Zing. The deployment speed of the ergonomic thumb studs make it comparable to that of the Blur, which is not bad for a manual opener. Great styling and feel in a compact, potent package.

For light duty use it's the Mini Mojitio. For a small to medium sized knife, it fits the hand like a glove, has a solid feel and combined with the re-curve blade can take on just about any task, big or small.

For in-between times it's my old standby the OSO Sweet.... the name says it all.

I think my favorite Kershaw is the R.A.M. I was first introduced to it when browsing through bladeforums.com. Everything about it seemed right to me. The lock is soild, opens lightning fast, action is smooth as eggs, and comfort is right up there with the Spyderco Native. You also get 6061-T6 anodized aluminum AND G10 slabs for grip. The clip is mounted as high as possible for deep pocket carry. The blade shape is awesome and unique in its own way, starts off with a nice curve and then almost turns into a reverse tanto. At 3.8 oz, its not that heavy for EDC. Its a brilliant knife.

i really love my kershaw leek, but its the only kershaw i have at the time... so it may be bias, but whoever said its not a great knife, so sleek, smoothe, and beautifull!! its a fast opening spring-assisted knife, and can do whatever i ask it to... but i dont exactly ask it do do everything.. just what i cant, or in some cases dont feel motivated to do (such as fumbling around trying to open an overly protected case/package... dont you hate that)

my Kershaw Leek, the iKC Indiana group knife for 2010!! it is an awesome knife!!! only 11 of these knives were engraved for the group. this is my EDC i love the way this knife is super sharp and opens really fast! it is my first Kershaw and now i am hooked!
